EA wants to stop 2K All-Pro Football franchise

well, that is the absolute bottom line, the license was up for sale and both companies bid on it. The losers are us, the winners are EA. For the record, i'd say the MAJORITY of gamers are not happy at all with ANY exclusivity deal. The only ones happy to see it are called fanboys, so again, i don't agree with the concept that people are fine with the baseball deal either..

If you except that as truth then it would be the bottomline, I don't happen to believe that is the way it went down. That is the spin that they (the nfl and ea) put on it.

It's the lesser of two evils. There is still some competition and we, as the gamers, still have an option.

If EA were to start buying up legends.... **** it, just go all out with a fictional league and complete customization. The harder EA tries to squeeze the grip, the more 2k will continue to wiggle free.

I believe EA pushed for the exclucivity for many years before the NFL finally gave in and said yeah why not. They knew they could outbid anyone for the deal kept whispering in their ears about a deal. NFL didn't just say yeah we're being exclusive from now on. Sort of like in Secret Wars when the Beyonder was telling Dr. Doom about how the good side could have survived the attack even though that probably wasn't the case and BAM! there they are at the front door ready to kick some ***.

if 2k made a generic game with franchise, they'd outsell the apf IMO and the game would be awesome, ESPECIALLY if they allowed you to edit ALL the players and teams
