Stopping the out route

Constant out patterns are the only thing I cant stop in this game. Does anyone have any idea how to consistently stop them? They are as bad as the slants in 2k5. The short zones are too short and the deep zones are too deep. Man coverage doesnt work on them either, even with the DBs adjusted out.

Thanks.

Out routes are timing routes. So bump the receiver at the line and the entire timing is ruined.

NO much easier is to play off BUT shade to the out side, easy way to stop the flag route as well

Cover 4/3 seems to work for me. Deep outs in the ace 3 wide formation is usually my go to route though on 3rd and long when I know that guys gonna be in cover 2 zone or a man D.

How do you shade to the outside, by pre positioning, or 100% manual control?

Re: Stopping the out route

I think if you press rb(right bumper) and the right stick to the right your corners and both safeties will adjust to play receivers to the outside.

I tried doing it manually for one guy and it doesn't work anymore like 2k5. If you have a guy covering a receiver and you try to specifically adjust him using the method for all secondary it makes him play a zone. If you press rb(right bumper) and the right stick the the right the player plays a zone on the right side of the field.

You could also make your corners come in more at the line of scrimmage by pressing down on the right stick when you press the rb(right bumper) to draw off the timing of the out route.
