Gold Offensive players in general are too good at breaking tackles. Zone blocking is way too effective also. 99% of runs I see online are zone stretch plays.

I played jmood today and held barry to like 3.7 a carry he had one long run at the end of the game where my defense was out of position

Shouldn't Performance Equation tone down the Runningbacks a little?

My Nick Buoniconti/**** Anderson combo works pretty well against the run. I don't think i seen Buoniconti miss a tackle yet.

Re: Runnig backs are overpowered

This is the first game where I must call a 4-4 defense to stop great backs. That leaves my passing defense vulnerable. But that's how it is supposed to be. I shouldn't be able to call nickle and stop Payton.

However if great backs get to the secondary when I'm in 4-4, I'm screwed. You have to stop them at the first level or you're done. I rarely call bear because it leaves my safety in such a bad spot.

I have Karl Mecklenberg which shuts down the run and pass. He's really a great silver LB. I also assign him to the back exclusively.

Man I love this game, first game I had to think about assignments and defensive calls.

You could always call him Richard Butkis

This post is the truth. I had a stretch of games where guys with OJ and Campbell ran on me for like 250 yards a game. I was calling 4-4 and Bear defenses to try and stop them but once they hit a hole and break into the secondary, they are going 70 yards to the endzone. And when you think about it, that is exactly how it is supposed to be. Incredibly realistic.

Oh yea and I have Butkis and Van Pelt at LB on my team. Must have LBs to stop the run.
