using a for speed burst

does anyone else feel weird having to use this, because now how the controller is, i'm so used to using the right trigger. Also I'm having a few problems with catching the kickoff and punt returns is anyone else, i'm about to just let the cpu catch it.

"You're calling the wrong plays..."

Good luck.

EA did awesome on gameplay, but the gang tackling is nothing like this on ncaa 08, it's a great year for sports gamer so far.

This thread took a weird turn quickly.

but....I'm fine with using A for speed burst. I like it. Also, let the CPU catch the kickoffs and punts. Doing it yourself will cause unnecessary turnovers.

Yup, let the CPU do your catching on kickoffs, you'll get some decent yardage on the returns, punts are another story.
For me punt returns in this game are almost futile, i'll fair catch it (Y Button 360)

The return camera angle just does not get you into position fast enough to see the field to take advantage of your blocking, providing it hasn't broken down completely. I usually fair catch it to avoid a turnover from being drilled by the defender.

Ya, the first time I returned a punt, I didn't even see the defender, until it was too late, but so far this game has been really solid gameplay wise.

Re: using a for speed burst

The Thread has covered a few of my main gripes on APF (which is surprisingly few). Its not a game flaw or anything but i never have been that hot on A tapping for speed burst either. To the OP- it feels weird compared to the Trigger because you must play alot of EA football. The second thing that does bother me is the punt returns, the camera needs to switch over much quicker.
