APF only if it had the NFL........

I got the game the day it came out....& i did take it back..and paid madden 08 off....I played about 25 games...It feels just like 2K5 ported over to the next gen system....Don't get me wrong it's a ok game to play.....But with Madden having the Real NFL team....That the way i have to go....Alot of people going to have a lot of fun with APF....

Of the many issues I have with APF, not having an NFL license isn't one of them. Even if I watched the NFL, I wouldn't know who to cheer for. Can't cheer for Green Bay anymore, now that Favre has become a cross between Curt Shilling and Roger Clemens.

Well, you had it coming. Everyone knew fully before release that the game wasn't going to give you any type of NFL experience. Saying this is your reason after the fact seems fickle IMO.

the more I play i realise how much more advanced the gameplay is than 2k5, tho i must admit its not as polished, but man VC are an incredible sports development team. if not for them i'd no longer be gaming at all. its hard to imagine how advanced this 2k8 game would be if it were the 3rd nextgen attempt, nfl, espn, still intact....

The only team to cheer for - EVER - is the Dallas Cowboys.

As to APF, I still really enjoy the game, but I find myself looking more and more forward to Madden 08 precisely because of the NFL license issue. As my season is winding down in APF, I don't really feel the desire to start again with another team. I really, really like the team I have and since there is no franchise, there is no way to build upon it for the next season.

what a pointless thread. I'm going to post when I buy a coke and complain it's not pepsi.

If the NFL license is that big of an issue for you, then you should have known you weren't going to like it from the beginning. My growing negative feelings on the game are at least based on gameplay issues.

^to be fair that is not the reason he gave. he said it feels like a port of 2K5 & as such it would need the license to fully win him over. so, actually it is the gameplay that is turning him off.

doesn't seem fickle to me at all... at least no more fickle than the canned response anyone who criticizes APF gets here. of course everyone has a voice in an open forum, but why not just give your own opinion of the game rather than pan his?
