I disagree, I think it's terrible for gamers. I would like an open license. But it's not going to happen, EA will renew the license, mark my words. I wouldn't be surprised to hear an announcement about it within the next year too btw.

I'm suprised the gov't (congress) hasn't stepped in like they did with the MLB and Direct TV when they were trying to set up and exclusive deal.

All the government did with that though was recommend they not do it, there is nothing legally they were trying to do. And i'm sure the politicians don't even know a *earmuffs* thing about video game licenses.

I think right now it's 60/40 that they'll contine to support 2K Sports/Visual Concepts or sell the name (development teams)/shut the whole thing down. We'll just need to hope for the best and see which way everthing goes.

If they want to sell then I wish Microsoft would buy them.

I really doubt MS will be buying many more developers. They got Rare, which have done nothing for them. MS also already shut down their own sports games division they had for the xbox. Their games weren't really horrible either.

Yeah. It is not like they never had a chance to buy them either before.

Re: NFL Exclusive License

Yeah MS ain't buying them, they already said they felt the sports market had enough good developers and they didn't want to be in that market.
