Jerry Rice on ESPN Jim Rome

Yeah Dale Earnhardt I believe was still racing the Blizzard/Papyrus game NASCAR Racing 2003 at the time while he was on the cover for EA's Thunder game. He had a league and a group that had one of my friends in. He exclusively played the competition while endorsing the other game.

They all do it. Jeter, Rice, etc... it dosen't matter they are just doing it for the money.

Also I don't think Rice even knew what he was saying, it was almost as if he was just spewing what was told to him by 2k sports.

In the last issue of ESPN the Mag' Arenas is quoted as saying that NBA Live was not realistic at all and thats why he signed with them. To help them get back on top in the B-ball video game market, give them better cgi animations to work with.

As for Rice, he is paid by VC/2K what do you expect him to say? That its not the best football title around? And Rome...I hated him back in the day, remember when he kept calling Jim Everret (former Rams QB) Chris Everret and dude punched his lights out right there on TV? classic. But now that I get his radio show I notice, that dude gets the best interviews in the business. Clones are dweebs but Rome rocks. All 5 foot nothing of him.

This was actually a good show. Saw it on my day off. Was surprised they even brought it up... Rice sounded like he had at least some idea of what was going on with the game which was nice to hear.

I watched this show live. I in a motel room where I was attending a teaching fair. Just finishing up my student teaching and looking for a job. April something, 1994.

Jim Rome was this little punk wanting to make a name for himself. My Granddad was with me on the trip, and we just sat there not believing what we were seeing, wondering if it was staged.

It seemed Rome disappeared for awhile then reappeared with this whole new look but same edge, not the smartelic punk, but the grizzled wardog that had been through the battles and deserved to have an edge.

I don't really get Rome. He makes sense then on a dime he is off on this rant that makes me wonder from where it came. My opinion, he is an egomaniac blowhard and I really don't care for him.

The whole Jim Everett thing was so sixth grade, he should have gotten more than just being pushed out of his seat. And if I'm not mistaking I think that tennis players name was Chris Evert, not Everett.
