Real-time injury

Here's a grainy video of my generic RB pulling up hurt in the midst of a would-be touchdown run. These little things make 2k8 truly remarkable in its first year. Got any better videos or other injuries? Any hints on getting or making better videos?

Grainy isn't the word... that looked like Intellivision football. LOL. They are cool to see though.

Re: Real-time injury

I have no video to post, but I had gone through a season and a half without a single injury so I upped the slider to full. On my first game with a created Frank Gore, on his third run he got tackled near the sideline and went to brace himself and fell on his arm horribly. The replay showed it contort underneath him. He was out for the season with a broken arm. Cool to see, but sucky for my season.

Re: Real-time injury

Just had the same type of injury occur to my defensive end in my last game. Man, I must've replayed that 10 times or more. I zoomed in on his facial expression and watched his reaction to the injury and it felt so real.

Yea it happened to my DE also, he was all free goin for an easy sack, and then wham! Hamstring pull! And he just started limping and holding his hamstring, he didnt end up sacking the QB after that.

Bu it was pretty awesome to see.

I have also seen ROnnie Lott do the same in D, but ive never seen it in O before.

Re: Real-time injury

Definitely a cool feature in the game. I had a generic DB slobberknocker Quentin Morabito on a skinny post in season mode, and after the play, Quentin didn't move a lick. Word from the training room was that he was out some 15 weeks. I think I paralyzed the dude and they just didn't want to say it. I actually felt a little for Quentin when It happened (I play with an all-Raiders squad, so I remember the Tatum thing), but there was still a small, shame-filled part of me that thought the animation sequence was cool as *hand warmers*.

Re: Real-time injury

One injury that I remember is the Rob Moore was running a route and then in the middle of it he starts grabbing his hamstring and limping. When the play was over he just collapsed in pain, eyes bulging and grimacing.
