2K makes announcement not to produce APF for next year!!

It looks like the price of APF will drop within the week and Take Two / 2K is on the record as saying they WILL NOT produce another version of APF for next year because of the disappointing sales.


"All-Pro Football was a nice attempt from Take-Two to take back some of the market share it lost," says Divnich. He was referring to Take-Two's bid to gain some traction in the football games genre after it lost the five-year exclusive license for the NFL games to EA two years ago. "But, at the end of the day, the title definitely did not sell to a point where we can see another version," Divnich says.

Hopefully, when EA exclusive rights to NFL games expire in a few years 2K will have another NFL football gm to compete with Madden.

This may mean that Madden is going to get worse now...great.

You're right. I made a mistake with my Title and tried to change it to mention the analyst..but I couldn't.

Regardless of that. This may be a keeper game..for classic sakes..Sorta like the USFL.. Anyone remember that league? One year and done. I was mad because the Michigan Panthers had won the championship that year and now we are stuck with the Lions..LOL

ok for the thousandth time, I thought someone form 2K said this was going to be an every other year type thing anyway, so their never was gonna be a 2K9.

I'm agnostic, but I'm praying that they make another game. This game continues to amaze me; it's not perfect, to be sure, but man does it get a lot right. I spent a couple of hours in practice mode today--PRACTICE MODE. I've seen others say the same thing in these forums, and when was the last time that happened in a game? I can't remember. This game has so much nuance and so much fidelity (DB coverage AI and front alignment faux pas excepted, and given how much is right in this game, I believe the exception is deserved) that I get a chub thinking about what Take Two could be capable of given a full-year developlement cycle for next year, and hearing this makes me as limp as looking at a picture of Hillary Clinton. I hope it's not true, just like I hope Hillary isn't really a woman.
