Stop complaining about Earl

I use Earl because I'm quite conservative and because I am not quick enough to make a lot of cuts and jukes (old age). I have been shut down a lot but people still say Earl is cheese.

I just beat JohnnyChill (number 2 ranked with 128 wins, he was experimenting with a new team, otherwise he probably would have destroyed me by 30) 10-7 but he shut Earl down completely, holding him to 2.8 per carry.

I think I'm using him wrong because I'm not dominating with him like I should.

Doc, I wish I could say that.

I sure could use some tips. While my opponents shut me down fairly easily, I struggle to stop the run, especially when they go with a power set like "Joker". Guys are getting outside pretty easily.

How would you handle that power set?

Agreed, I play Middle Linebacker and I force the running back inside when ever I can. I also fill gaps which helps contain the running backs most of the time. I have held campbell 98% of the time. Only a couple of times has he done something on me. Then passing downs I switch to where ever the ball is headed and defend the pass myself

I played some guy the other day using a great RB - and he did nothing. Running doesn't scare me - throwing does. The guy beat me because my damn backs would make stupid *** plays on the throw... Someone throwing scares me, because the defensive backs suck - someone running doesn't - I can usually jam them.

I have actually tried to be the MLB but he seems to run slowly and almost sideways when I'm trying to get out to the flat. It's almost like he wants to stay in a strafe animation.

Do you ever have that problem?
