Kicking Tips

Anyone Got Any? I mean on Kickoffs It says Timing Perfect and Kick Centered (well sometimes) and it still only goes to the opponents 20. Punting is even worse for me as is field goals. i cant make a feild goal outside 20 yds to save my life. I love this game with the exception of the kicking..Any Help would be appreciated

Re: Kicking Tips

It's weird. The POWER is based upon the SPEED of your "swing"... So even if your timing and accuracy is on point, if you don't strike with power, you get a crap kick. I'm not sure which is more important really... TIMING, ACCURACY or POWER. It seems really hard to get all three at once. I'm literally surprised every time I manage it. Why? Because each time it seems I did the exact same thing I did the last time.

Re: Kicking Tips

Not sure if this qualifies as a tip, but I focus on the snap. Because of the varying snaps I think that's the key. Once the ball is placed, it's a matter of trying to time your foward motion with the kicker's stride combined with the speed you push the right stick forward (for power). Oh while trying to push the stick straight, because varying from one side to the other will push the ball in that direction. Writing it down makes it seem more complicated than I think it actually is lol. I didn't like the new kick mechanic initially, but I really like it now because of the way it factors timing into the equation.

Re: Kicking Tips

When you swing the stick up for the kick, swing the **** out of it. Timing seems to be the least important, especially on kickoffs. I kick plenty of kickoffs to the 5 with a generic kicker even when my kick is "very early".

I think the timing is a multiplier on the accuracy. If your kick is off to one side, then your timing will amplify the inaccurate kick. Timing doesn't seem to affect the power of a kick.

The man said, "Don't drink and drive... But, ermm... Don't forget to drink..."

If you can be accurate, cool. Don't forget to add the POWER!
