I love customizing and know many people that would certainly come back to 2k football with files made available by myself or others that would provide the same.

I know it's a small sample size, but it's been pretty steady at about a 70 % clip of those that would prefer a more customizable, generic game to the legends game. I would have thought at best it would have been 50/50, but anticipated that the majority would have landed on the Legends side. Only wish I would have done this back in July when there were hundreds of people patrolling these boards.

I wont touch this game if it's just about generics. Like seriously people actually want a game like that...? wow

There are some Generic players that are simply MONSTROUS in their ability, undoubtedly on the same level as the Legends in the game. I would love to see those players return, especially the ones on Defense. It would be really cool for those Generic players to become household names in a virtual Fantasy League.

I rather have the legends, and for the uptine time winning eleven has real players!! The top stars at that! Remember that with winning eleven almost all the best in the world are already in there, what EA wanted stopped was the distribution of files which contained any jersey, stadium or league/team crests by the community. For the pc this is almost impossible to stop, however for a console it would be much easier to enforce. I don't want full generics, no way and then to have to do all the players myself manually would be hell. No thanks if I can't have the present nfl players then give me the old ones, not gonna sit for hours to recreate a league.

If winning eleven was just full generics on the console I doubt people would buy it as much. They have 90% if not 95% of all the players in the leagues they have in their game. What they don't have is all the team names, logos and colors for many of the teams.

I'm on the side of the generic/customizable game, but obviously recognize the risk in going that route. If they did go that way, every other aspect of the game would have to be essentially flawless.

The controls, A.I., graphics, atmosphere, presentation, franchise, polish... would all need to be so stunning as to overcome the serious reservations that most gamers would have about the generic default teams and players.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Monstrous? I truly doubt it. They do become semi-montrous when you're controlling them though

Re: If you had a choice, which would you prefer for the next 2K football game?

It's obvious that the'll be going the Legends route simply because they shelled out money for multi-year contracts for a lot of the guys they signed.

I'm cool with that.

If they can add on a mode with back to back seasons and the ability to change up rosters - how ever they do it - that would be great. That's all this game really needed for extra replay on the single player front.

Giving the non-stars some abilities would be nice, but I don't want them to become overpowering or a star. This game is about the LEGENDS not the made up players. Keep it that way.
