Is it time to say goodbye to the circle online?

Ok guys, I've been thinking about this for a while. Weighing the pros and the cons and I have come to the conclusion that it may be time for the circle identifying the user controlled player ONLINE to be removed. I think with the way the game plays now we can now have the user controlled player not be known to the opponent online.

Many games I've played I wished that my opponent was not able to tell exactly which player I was controlling. I go back to a few games with some friendslist people where I'll bring the heat manually off the end but I would like to disguise it better and apply the pressure from the other end and drop the other guy back. Or maybe I would like to not bring any heat at all but show it and control a safety hoping to get an ill-advised pass. But with my opponent clearly being able to identify who it is I'm controlling I can only do but so much.

How do you guys feel about it?

It can be ditched along with the other person seeing which way you are kicking the ball on punt and kickoffs.

That's two voices saying goodbye to the circle.

EDIT: I don't think this needs to be said but sometimes the sharpener gets broke before all the pencils get a point. I'm not saying that you lose your circle. Of course you have to identify your player but you shouldn't be able to see the other guys circle just like he can't see yours.

Re: Is it time to say goodbye to the circle online?

I to would like to see both of the above mentioned things go bye bye

In fact, in this current version of APF doesn't it tell your opponent (through onscreen text) when you activate the OL pass blocking feature??? I've been playing buddies online before that said they could see whenever I did that...that's not acceptable 2K !!! That tip off is similar to this years 2K baseball game where the announcer would say how and where the catcher was setting up for the pitch thereby tipping off your opponent where the pitch was going

Come on 2K, get it together !!!

Good idea; it would add an element of surprise. Although, I think that some of the better players would still know who you are using (subtle movements-via the cadence option).
