Taking a page from APF2k8?

Could this be the new wave of professional sports stadiums? I guess 2k had a vision with the stadiums in APF2k8 and how future stadiums may start being built. According to the article, this might be the new home of the Tampa Devil Rays? Pretty cool.

except drawings of that stadium have been public since before apf2k8 was out.

while it's true that stadiums will change how they look to be more scenic or visually appealing than concrete monstrosities, they won't start looking like APF type stuff. The colts stadium looks nice too, without all the flair the rays stadium will have.

But I can see APF style stadiums appearing in MLB; theyve relied on ‘atmosphere’ and ‘nostalgia’ to put people in the seats for years.

The NFL, on the other hand, fills dumps like the Meadowlands, and Mcafee with their on-field product, so I dont see these gimmicky (though interesting) stadiums popping up in the NFL.
