Legend Setting

I don't know why 2k didn't make this the default setting and set to fast speed.

Fast speed? I'm sure glad they didn't... fast is... well, too fast.

I like this setting also. Its the setting I practice on.

I can understand why they did not make it the default though. Most of the newer players would find it hard to play on that level starting out.

Nahhh, to me the game feels sluggish on the normal speed, especially online. Feels slow paced like the other game.

Yeah, but this is where 2k needs to decide who they are marketing this game too. It is clear to me they do not have the luxury of an EA of trying to make a game to please everyone. I think Legend + fast = the most sim 2k8 can get. That's not to say there is not another experience that cannot be sim, I'm saying that's the most sim 2k8 gets. Although I haven't played it against Gold offensive players yet and that might make me sing a different tune.

Re: Legend Setting

Fast is not necessary but I do agree that Legend should have been the all-pro level and something more difficult than legend should have been legend. Also I do agree with you, 2K needed to decide who they were marketing this game for. If you ask me they should have unapologetically marketed for hardcore sim and let the world know that this is STRICTLY for the hardcore sim player and everyone else should probably play Madden or Blitz.

See a statement like that tells the consumer what this is and basically "if you can't handle it then that's because you don't have what it takes".

I don't think it's wise for 2K to shut off a mass audience of gamers. Nobody wants to be forced to choose 2 OL, drop passes, have trouble passing the ball, etc. That's not to say it can't be sim, but people like to score points. I think All-Pro is fine.....and judging from the lobbies, most people seem to think that too.

Legend is where it's at if you're an advanced gamer. I've been saying this all along. Gold defensive legends are dominant and generics OL are alot worse. But All-Pro is a happy medium(don't have the speed cheats or drops that legend does).

It only feels slower online because the game runs at a maximum of 30 FPS, with noticeable input delay.

Offline is a fluid 60 FPS with zero delay.
