360 or ps3

I was thinking bout picking the game up again well i had it from gamefly when it 1st came out. So does the game play the same on both systems? I was gonna get it for ps3. But other then XBOX LIVE is everything else the same

Yes everything is more fluid & more responsive.The XBOX360 version has a bigger online userbase.One other thing during online play the ps3 version has auto-strafe enabled(which is why I stopped playing online)& it can't be disabled.

I'm with Kantshootrite on this one. The auto-strafe kills online on PS3 as it totally hampers your ability to play with the back seven on defense. There's nothing worse than switching to your safety to track down a ballcarrier only to have him strafe his way out of the play while the ballcarrier blows by him for a huge gain. I'm getting a 360 soon and will only play on that system once I do.

Though I'm a big framerate whore as is, let me put it to you this way:

I owned the 360 version even though I don't own a 360, and played the game religiously. Loved it. Then when I got a PS3 I downloaded the demo knowing it was 30 FPS. I didn't even end up playing a down, only returned the kickoff before I was royally ticked at the poor visuals. Then I deleted it.

Get the 360 version.

Say it ain't so! Nah, just kidding man. I know how you feel. I would have to say that if you are only going to play this game online, then get the 360 version, But, keep in mind once NCAA drops, I am not sure that many people of either consoles will be playing APF. One thing is for sure, it is hard to get a league started on the PS3 version of simlike players.

Sup Trech! I'm still in Providence at the archives, away from my PS3, but my housemates blow so I'm picking up a 360 and renting a TV to bide the remainder of the time, lol. I will hop on to the PS3 random team league when I get home, if you guys are up for a second season, but I think I'll spend more time on the 360 just because of the strafe thing. It's a sad, sad day for me
