Cheese or Not?

Fellas, is this cheese? When a QB has the ability to read the play, and you press (square or X) when you get to the line of scrimmage every time, or vice versa for a defensive player who has that same ability of reading the play? What about just pressing the button once before the play starts? Your thoughts would be appreciated on this.

Re: Cheese or Not?

I'd say it's cheese if you're using it all the time. But, no harm in using it in key situations.

Re: Cheese or Not?

Well you can't read the play every time, so I don't see why it would be.

Re: Cheese or Not?

No cheese.

Some players study game film extensively and develop that sixth sense, some just have an intimate knowledge of the game in general...

And some get help from spying on other team's workouts.

Re: Cheese or Not?

Not cheese.
1. having 1-2 golds on D limits it to a few instances a game.
2. Youve got only one chance to read the play, if you dont, you can hit the button however much you want, it still wont read it.
3. you can counter it with your own play reader on D, unlike 'cadance' which is out of your control.

Re: Cheese or Not?

Thanks for the feedback guys. That was my consensus as well. But, the cadence thing on the other hand...

Re: Cheese or Not?

The only thing that annoys me to death about it is when a guy reads like 5 plays in a row. That does get annoying but hey it's part of the game. I just blame the programming.

Re: Cheese or Not?

I don't mind it--they still have to make the necessary adjustments before you hike the ball, and, of course, stop you from executing. The only thing that drives me nuts is having to hear that damned sound. I wish they made this a silent feature so the offense didn't know you stole their play. I mean, does Ray Lewis scream "I saw your next play on film this week, suckas!"? Of course not. He may scream other things, but probably not that.
