Full customization or more Legends for a new 2K Football game:

If 2K Sports were to make another football game next year, what would you rather have, drops the legends in favor of FULL customization with file share or more legends (APF2K10)?

I think you have to have the Legends in the game, no matter if it's full customization or not. Granted, it's a nice feature (and should be included), but you can't sell that game to the masses.

There's so many Legend combinations in 2K8 that I've only scratched the surface in terms of building a team. Only thing I'd like to see is more generic players (give them some abilities so we know what they can do, but don't make them as powerful as a Legend) and the ability to create more teams.

Its pretty simple; If I have full customization I can make my own Legends. Done and Done.

Very good point! Maybe the Thomas brothers from VC are taking note.

Get rid of the legends crap and make it a fully customizable game.

Maybe keep legends in there as a "feature", but don't make it a legends game.

I'd think the vast majority of gamers aren't interested in spending a lot of time trying to customize the game. So in that regard the legends are a known quantity and easily identifiable. I would guess there should be a way to keep the legends and give people full or near-full customization on the generics

Agreed, Id much rather spend my time 'on the field', but, Some people love that stuff, and Id be more than happy to download their efforts.

Re: Full customization or more Legends for a new 2K Football game:

I would like to see a fully custom game with legends being a option (on being default). All of the generics can be edited (names, faces, equipment, abilities, etc.) Also how about making the game a HD loaded game, which you can have downloadable content (More logos, stadiums, uniform details, legends, etc.) but after maybe a year, since the game isn't the NFL, we can get a update to change the game to APF2K11. (like a 1600+ point patch, to upgrade, animations, AI, announcers lines, and other new features they may develop) For the ppl without XBL/PSN, a update disc can be bought. Just think update a game for $25-$30. EA wouldn't like that, but the madden fans would feel cheated (Unless a new game engine is made). Also with 2K Share, we could have our on NFL going on.
