Day 1 purchase for me, had this game preordered long before it came out.

Well I thought I have seen everything. I honestly have seen just about every animation they have.

But two nights ago I saw a new one that I have never seen before.

My created Adrian Peterson gets hit in the backfield right after the handoff. But it was not like a standard wrap tackle or shoulder tackle. It was like they collided into each other on accident. Adrian did this stumblng backwards animation, then planted his hand on the ground to gain his balance then started his forward motion. It was such a cool animation I replayed it over and over. It just all flowed some realistic.

I had this exact animation happen the other day and was gonna post it. It looks like the RB gets hit in the chest with a shotgun, they recoil so hard, but then they gather and move forward again and it's quite a sight to see.

I saw it while running with Emmitt Smith, and the crazy thing is that the animation came twice during the same run. I think I've only seen that animation maybe 7 times since I've owned the game, and every time it happens I'm like "damn--did he just do that?"

The other guys I've seen do it are Curt Warner and Barry Foster.

Yea, they just kinda of do this standup recoil backwards, then gather themselfs and shoot out again. It caught me off guard. Mainly because we are all so used to seeing certain animations in situations then the CPU throws one at you that is rarely seen and it catchs u off guard.

Agreed. It's so cool when it happens because neither player expects it. The defense can quit on a hit like that 'cause they think the guy is down, and if you stay alert on the sticks you can get a nice run out of plays like that.

I still see new stuff/rare stuff every day. Yesterday against Pappy I saw a DL of mine tackle Payton and it literally looked like he grabbed him by the head and slung him down. No facemask was called, so we watched it again, and he caught him from behind at a weird angle, horse-collared him, and slung him in a different direction. The horse collar is rare but it happens from time to time; this was a whole new permutation on that tackle than what I'd seen.

Yea, what happened is they ran into each other, the stumble animation played out for A.P. the D-man fell down. My LG and LT held their blocks, I bounced out to the left, threw a stiff arm, gets away....picks up around 16 yards before being pushed out of bounds.

Yea the horse collars are rare, but like everything else in this game. These things that happen on rare situations bring a feeling of life to the game. Like each and every game is different. It does not get stale like the EA products.

I LOVE the game. I would only need 3 sports games for years and years and I would be happy.
