Who is your favorite gold CB?

night train lane, he's an interception machine, a devastating hitter, bumps with the best of them and stops any running play on his side.

I actually prefer Rod Woodson at safety over any other gold CB at the CB position.

I like all the gold cbs for various logical reasons (abilities). I have teams currently with all of them. Night Train is the coolest (how could not be a bad *** w/ the nickname Night Train). He is deadly in zone gets tons of tipped ints. He is some what suspect in man though. Woodson is the most solid at everything, but isn't the best at anything among the group. Brown has the "signal steal ability", bump master and coverage. I think the best man corner has to be Haynes, he also is one of the best returners in the game. I have 3 KO returns for TDs online with him w/ only 1 fumble. Unlike Haynes, Barney kills me w/ untimely fumbles on returns. I don't think you can go wrong w/ any of them though. I like going w/ themes on Def w/ 3 cbs on several teams. I have 1 team that has Night Train, Brown and Lester Hayes dubbed my "bump masters". I have another w/ Brown, Haynes and McDanial "coverage bonus" team. I am tempted to put a team w/ Lane, Woodson and Lewis "tackling". I voted for Haynes, because I feel the best about him matched up against Rice, Berry, Sharpe or Maynard in man coverage. I think the 4 Gold corners are all so even, and so useful. I have had plenty of multiple int games with all 4 of them.

Night Train by far for me.

He stops the run (Run Coverage)

Awesome in tight man (Bump Master)

Awesome in zone (Ball Hawk)

Makes plays (BIG HIT!)

I've seen him make some of the biggest impact plays out of the corner position. The big key to him is the fact that he stops the run so well along with his bump master ability. He excels when he is right in the face of the WR. If they run to his side he's right there in the backfield making a play. They can't pass to that WR unless he's a bump buster. I really feel like he can be a shut-down corner that takes away a whole side of the field.

Lofton can destroy Lane due to his lack of speed. Other than that, I wouldn't even try throwing near him. He's so filthy.

Lane can destroy anyone without bump buster. If he's in off coverage zone OR man, he's dead meat against Lofton and many other speedy WR, but in bump he gets my pick as the winner of that battle. I've seen him decimate Jerry Rice for an entire game from the bump.

His kryptonite would be guys like Raymond Berry, Herman Moore, Don Maynard, Dante Lavelli
