Re: Just bought APF 2k8!!!

Put me in the boat of people who just got this game. I ordered it off of Wal-Mart's website and it came in the mail this past Friday, the same day my Internship Acceptance later came.... WHOOT!!

I don't play online, so I've just been messing around with QuickPlay. I've got a team that I'm pretty comfortable playing with right now... I think I have Barry Sanders, Dick Butkus, John Brodie, that Bronze TE that is a good receiver, two Bronze corners, some legent O-lineman, and a bronze WR with soft hands... I forget the names of most of the guys.

Seems fun so far. I like the way it plays and the animations (especially the tackling ones) are gorgeous.

I haven't played a 2K football game since I rented 2K5 not long after it came out. I used to play all the time (owned 2K through 2K4).

Re: Just bought APF 2k8!!!

Here are some helpful hints on how tgo kick better FG's

1. Do not try and kick a FG holding your controller the same way you do when you play. ( I did this and I couldn't kick worth a crap either )

2. I put my controller on my leg and use my thumb and index finger to get a straight click on the controller.

3. Pull back on analog stick and when your kicker takes his kicking leg forward you take your analog stick forward also.

4. The faster you click your analog stick forward the harder you will kick it.

I am telling you if you put your controller on your leg where you can kick it the way I posted above you will be a lot better.

Thanks for the tip. I'll try that later. I am struggling with my kicks.

I just push back and push up when the kicker plants his foot. It works everytime. Kicking isnt hard at all.
