My team, as I remember, that got me ranked in the top 10 for a while last year sometime:

G - WR - James Lofton (killed man coverage that most people use)
G - FS - Ronnie Lott or Cliff Harris (used him manually almost every play)

S - LB - Gregg Lloyd
S - WR - Herman Moore
S - DB - Lem Barney

B - HB - Freeman Mcneil (returner and scat/speed back with good hands)
B - QB - Ken O'brien (i think he had Rocket Arm)
B - DB - Terry McDaniel
B - LB - Bryce Paup
B - DB - Eugene Robinson
B - TE - Todd Christensen

This was team for the season 3 armchair league. I say it's my best because it got me to use different parts of the playbook that I think most opponents aren't ready for, and is a beast on offense if Simms has a good day.

Plus, I beat my best opponents with this team: some guy in the top 10 and CK.

I don't remember the lineup, but it had 4 OL, 1 DE, 1 DT, 2 CB, 1 QB, 1 RB, 1 WR. I created an offense based on just wearing out a defense. Most of my scores were 14-3, 17-13, etc. Low scoring defensive battles. I definitely didn't have room for error.

Lately I have been doing random teams and doing season mode. It's kind of like my franchise mode and I keep manual track of players from year to year, etc. Some years a player comes back and others I have a whole new set of legends, lol.
