for those who dont know me i play on the ps3 and became number one rather quickly with my no defensive back defense im no longer going to play this game for 1 game play reasons and 2 i have football so im gonna tell you how i got to the top

i used mostly cover 4 with 4 linebackers under in a 3-4 setting mostly controlling the open field linebacker to shut off the uncoverable routes i used the generics: willie bacon cory romo kevin lane and some thing? graham they are all 6,1 and up and pick the ball well

if some one ran well id call 46 and go to cover one coverage using the defensive back shift this stops most runs be care full as its open to lob fades

offense i usually did whatever because my d was so good

ill be on the message boards if you have questions pm me i now the game all to well which is why i am giving it up

There are a few things I would do against this.

1: Run a fade route to a good WR. (No safety help in a 44)
2: Deep posts from each side.
3: Spread offense using a lot of trip sets. This makes 1 CB guard 3 people. Not going to happen.

1: i ran cover 4 out of 3-4 if it became a problem i would manually backup my cornerbacks if they would not get far enough back on shifts
2: that would not work on cover 4
3: on the non open side the line backer has little space to covers so he would take those out and i am known for my user skills on the open side

any more i like this more than the game itself?

Ahh ok, i thought u meant you ran 44 defense. Yeah the 34 cover 4 is a good defense. That's what I mostly run. There are still holes in it though. Most guys just aren't smart enough to figure it out.

360 players are way better than PS3. Not saying your not good, Just saying you don't have the same competition as the 360 players do. Need more proof look up scooter from PS3 leagues where he was pretty good to join 360 leagues and have seasons where he didn't win a game.

For some reason Cover 4 in 3-4 works better then in Dime...

The corners play deeper and if you shade outside the fade won't work...

But their are still holes like lanky said

i do know all the glitches (and the solvents) never used them there not the problem there are several key gameplay flaws that ive come to realize is not to make it realistic its just flaws cover ups you can say

i am not gonna write them here because it will spoil it for people im just telling yall how i rose to the top then found the many reasons why the people at the top shouldnt be so i started just playing with old teams but that gets old so i am done gotta move on sometime

if you want strategy write ups i can do that i have had several teams never lose just to take them apart for a challenge i also love talking strategy so id yall want to talk it im free

ps.i played 360 there was more comp and im not saying im the best ever (im not icethor i just want to help others now im done

what's up db , I to have taken a break from this addictive game, I have seen about everything imaginable that this game has, I really have enjoyed all of the great games from the other great players on ps3, but it's time for a new game, my patience has has finally got the best of me, I hope Madden is good this year, but I doubt it, but best of luck to all my Ps3 players, my time with this game has run out.

First, congrats db, I did not know you ascended to #1. Last I looked, Smokedust was still number 1. I haven't been on in a few days so I'm guessing you beat him. Congrats. Please post details of that win because its an epic accomplishment.

Second, it is no surprise to me that you got to the top. Your defense is the best I've seen and I've played all the best (on PS3). The highest I ever got was 8th. That was back when there were a bunch of guys online. Nowadays, there's nobody left.

I still don't know how you did it but I can vouch for the fact that you can shut down both Maynard and Ditka with relative ease. What I was most impressed with is that you not only did it with no legends in the secondary, I think you did it with only 1 legend LB and maybe 1 or 2 legend d-linemen.

I know the Xbox community is much larger with a lot of good players but I can't imagine anyone beating you.

What's the best way to handle route gods like Maynard? I see Maynard + Coates too many times.

How can I stop those damned screen passes to Earl/Chris Warren?

Any tips for blitzing? It seems like blitzing gets you nowhere and you can sit in zone pretty much all day.

This here tells me how the comp is on the PS3. ICETHORZEUS is the cheesiest and I played him and his basketball team with all legends ( No Caps ) and beat him like 45-13 and than he quit. If he beat you than like I said the 360 comp is much more accomplished.
