Anyway to make punt/kick returns effective?

I was going to make a Charles Woodson or Desmond Howard cap for my all time Michigan team and give them return specialist but I realized I have never broken a kick or punt for a td in the game. Is there anyway to make the blocking on punts and kicks any better?

Quick question, are you playing on PS3 or Xbox 360? The return game on the 360 is better than it is on PS3, I'm not really sure why, but it is. If you're on the PS3, then it's luck. I've played hundreds of games and returned hundreds, if not thousands, of punts and kicks and I've run 3 kicks back for a TD and 3 punts bck for a TD. Even with Gold Return Specialist players with Leadership, doesn't help much.

Don't speed burst until your first wave of blockers make contact, use the right stick jukes, and try to start the run in one place before bouncing it out the opposite direction.

With a gold return man, I can usually take about 20% of kicks to the house.

If that's actually true, then you need to explain why it is you would want to use a gold return guy and continue to cheat the game programming so badly. Or do you consider that sim football?

Using a G returner is not cheese. Like I said in the other thread...If you are facing a G returner(K or P) you must think before you choose your play...Left, Right, Middle...Most people seem to think it doesn't matter....wrong!!!

You must never Player dodge because of fear...Adjust to stop them!!

Learn the game!!!!

try setting your punt team to to one side of the field, also try getting a legend blocker like a Te or something like that.other than that I would say most of the return specialists are good with gale sayers and hot rodd being the best IMO.

Oops, you misunderstood. I realise some gamers think running back 20% of your kicks for TDs is realistic. But I was talking to the adults here, gamers who play sim football, and who raise the difficulty level so the game plays like real football.

Kids and young people like yourself are free to make the game as easy as possible, I have no problem with that. You paid for the game -- play it the way you want to.

that hurts

You can always practice kick returning in practice. I find it easier to return kicks with someone who can charge up always make it by the first tackler. The two that i have used that i like the most are, John Mackey (Gold TE) and Floyd Little (Bronze HB). Once i get by that first tackler i run for my life.
