I'd pass. If you had asked me this question a few months back I probably would have said yes. Over the past couple of weeks I've tried playing APF again and like others have stated it's gotten old. It just doesn't feel 'fun' any more.

I never say never but.....No It would have to be new game completely. DLC should have been implemented a long time ago...Madden is getting all tthe attention now from me...I play with a great group of guys.

Re: Would you pay for downloadable content today?

I am still a APF head. Still the deepest game and best game play. I can still run more schemes than any other football game. So, if VC came out with a 1970's linebacker package or 90's wrs package folks wouldn't buy? I would but in a second.

Madden is nice because of the license but still doesn't match up with all pro game play.

I have made over 100 teams and I have over 20 different schemes so far and I continue to think up different offensive and defensive schemes. So, here is my question how can someone get bored with a game that give you so much flexibility in personal and schemes?

Re: Would you pay for downloadable content today?

Im with Grunt, I layed off for a couple months and focused my sports 'jones' on CHoops but after the bland M10 demo Im back in with APF. M10 stills feels like a step backwards in gameplay.

New =/= Better

Just my .02.
Completely agreed except that since putting in M10, I haven't had the urge to play APF. That's not to say M10 is superior in any way at all because I play M10 less on average much, much less than I ever played APF, I'm simply stating that APF feels old & after 500+ games (who am I kidding, 1000+ games logged) I had more than my fill. There's nothing left to do in that game at this point and I'm happy to have gotten more than my money's worth.

If anything, I feel completely liberated from APF, the stress of thinking about future APF's, what could, would, should have been done, the frustration with 2K, etc. Good riddance to all of that.

Would not pay for content but would pay for a customizable game with a franchise and somewhat updated graphics.

If the DLC was significant enough, I would drop $5-$10 for it.
