Still the best football game made...but the generic rosters and teams kill my desire to play it.

The best football game I've ever played and played the most. The game is barebones but its fun creating teams , choosing legends and figuring out what kind of team to beat the competition.

I may get it tomorrow. I rented the new Madden to try. First I've played in yrs. The kicking game on 2K8 bugs me alot!!

Go into practice mode to practice your kicking. The game doesn't do a good job of explaining how the kicking mechanic works (when to push forward on the analog stick), so you need to practice.

After a while away from the game, it's tough to get the timing right. It really is tough to kick FG's in this game, in my opinion. Tougher then any other game I've played. That's both frustrating and great... I sometimes find myself missing easy chip shots.

Just bought it for 5 bucks. Will give it a spin this weekend. But I am buried in NFL2K5 and Madden 2011 and NCAA 2011. This one will be played though soon.

Had the game about 2 weeks. Played a few exhibitions & alot of practice. Like to get my plays down & get a feel for players. Graphics aren't the best but the movements are excellent! Gameplay is what I expected after playing 2k5 for 6 yrs! Plays great from what I've seen. I'm using lefty qb Ken Stabler & I really have to take his stance into account. Anybdy stop & watch the line play? Guys really battle. I hate giving up 2k5 but I'm pleased with this game so far. Great purchase!!

$5 is definatley worth it for APF2k8.

2k is making a big announcement at PAX, which I am hoping is a new football game, but would still grab 2k8 for $5
