I never seemed to have much luck with CAP OL. What abilities were you giving them? What positions were they? Are certain positions (Guards, Tackles, Centers) better than others? For instance, CAP DE's have more speed than DTs, but DTs generally have more power.

I rarely created CAP OL, but the combo I really liked was quick feet and strength. Guys with that combo were beasts.

gold Bruce Matthews (CAP) + gold Earl Campbell = 300 yards a game rushing, easy.

Guards are best for run blocking.

They dominate on Isos and power-Os.

I also liked the "stonewall" ability for linemen since it helped the QB throw the ball better and not get rattled under pressure.

Never make a CAP center.

They are glitched for some reason and have a different set of running animations than normal linemen, which makes them slower on the field and prone to freezing up like they were hit with a Sub-Zero iceball in the middle of a play.

I've also had the most success with guards, but have also had good success with tackles. With tackles, stretches and pass plays involving 5 routes are your advantage. At first I thought a tackle was a waste because your opponent can just move his DE to the other side, but it doesn't matter. If he flips his DE, just slide protect and let your best OT stay isolated on your weak side.

One thing that bothered me about OT's is that none have leadership. Guys like Little and Grimm at OG have leadership, which I've always thought was a big plus at OL.

Bronze OC's have had good success against 3-4 defenses with a good NG.
