Are Designed QB run Plays Unsportsmanlike?

Is using play action passes as designed option running plays (i.e. running a play action out of the shotgun and then, reading the defense, choose to immediately run the ball) unsportsmanlike?

They do it in real life.

No. I have a all shotgun team with Steve Young and I try to simulate the Gator Offense. I use the shotgun PA passes, as a read option.

If I see a run lane, I take it, if not, I throw.
