Icon4 Questions from a beginner =)

Hello, and so far I am loving this game! It is very realistic!

I have played a lot online so far but I have a bunch of questions to ask and I hope you guys can help me out, here is one of the important ones I need answered...

1) Does Bump and Run work? I have Willie Brown and Lester Hayes and I bring the DBs in as much as possible. I have yet to ever see an animation where one of them man handles the receiver, like such as pushing him back or severely delaying him as he's trying to begin his route. Now, I know there is an ability called 'Bump Buster' or something. It says that receiver is good at beating Bump and Run, Maynard and Berry both have that ability as I recall. However, I see generics constantly beating it with ease, and bronze or silver receivers, without the bump buster ability, blow right past Hayes or even Willie Brown. This has cost me several games!

I'm curious:

a) does Bump and Run work in this game?
b) are Willie Brown and Lester Hayes the best at it?
c) is it a bad strategy?
d) what is the button combination to move your CBs into Bump and Run

thanks!

Yes.

Not with the corners that you're using.
d) what is the button combination to move your CBs into Bump and Run
R1, flick the Right Stick down.

thanks!
No problem.

Re: Questions from a beginner =)

Night Train Lane is the best bump and run corner, if I remember correctly.

I play zone more than man, so I can't tell you for sure.

But all the good press corners have the "bump master" ability to indicate that they are press specialists.

If you play enough with Night Train, you will see some animations where he just shoves the WR to the ground and takes him out of the play.

But sometimes he will get beat instead. That's just the nature of bump and run coverage. It's not meant to be run every down because it's a risk/reward coverage style.

Re: Questions from a beginner =)

To move your CBs up to the line of scrimmage into press position, you hold down RB (on Xbox 360) and press down on the right joystick.

Also, some plays in the playbook have your CBs starting out in press position.

Those plays have a line pointing down with another straight line underneath for the CBs.
