The best way to avoid duplicates showing up is to pick different types of generics "pass rush," "deep threat," "balanced," etc. for your created teams.

The good news is that this really doesn't affect the CPU teams because they use a lot of generics that are not available to the user teams.

Ok. Thanks

Re: Editing Generics

Tried editing generics. Think I'll wait till editor is done. They didn't seem to look like the created players. I had to find the #84 & go from there.

They are real players in the roster file just like legends and other CAPs.

Once you change the "84" that represents a generic player on your team to a "05," you can edit them just like any other created player.
I know I'm quoting an old post, but just to make sure about something... If I change a generic to an 05, wont that take up a custom player slot? I'd rather use my precious 20 custom slots on personalized in-game made players.

Re: Editing Generics

Nope. Edited generics take up different spots than normal CAPs.

I believe you can make up to 20 edited generics. The number was either 20 or 30, I can't remember.

This is in addition to the 21 normal CAPs.

Dont you mean 20 caps? I've got 20 players created already, yet when I try to create another, the game gives me the middle finger.
