its like a little turbo boost animation that kicks in that allows a player to swoop in fast when going for the interception

Not just interceptions, but closing in on ball carriers as well.

Think Patrick Willis and Troy Polamalu. They have an extra gear that kicks in when they pursue the ball carrier, and yes it works in this game.

There's hardly any players in the game with Closing Speed, I can't even remember.

Nobody has it in the game, but it can be given to CAPs.

Think of it as Break Away Burst but for the defense. Ever Ability in this game has a counter to it in some form or fashion, which I thought was absolutely awesome when it came to conceptualizing the idea.
