The test file is already decrypted so you can open it up in the editor fine, you'll have to use bruteforce to encrypt it after you make any changes in the editor so you can load it up on your PS3.
Hi Gill,

Thanks for your reply and steps. I did it and got this error in the editor:
"File is corrupt. player attribute section is not complete or has inconsistencies". I click ok on the popup and it says could not open save.

Do you have any clue about this or any workaround? Thanks!

Ah, thanks for letting me know. I'll do some testing then.

Hmm, strange. Try the file I posted a page back. You'll have to decrypt it with bruteforce first. I know that file works for sure, so if you still get an error it might be something on your end.

Re: Interest in adding PS3 to Editor?

Hi Gill,

Thanks. Got the file and decrypted in bruteforce (used a generated key). Selected the userdata file in the editor -> same error. Was hoping this would really work on my end. Any clue to this? I'm using version 0.1.7.0 on win8 64 bit. Would really appreciate any help on this please...thanks.
BTW, re-installed the editor and tried again...same error.

Re: Interest in adding PS3 to Editor?

I tried to replicate your error and somewhat did. "File is corrupt. The College Name sections is not complete.."

I did this by trying to load a non-decrypted file. So are you sure you're decrypting it right? It sounds like you are but that's the only way I was able to get the error.

Nevermind, now when I'm trying to load my decrypted file, I'm getting the error too now. Lol I think I broke the editor now. I'll let you know if I figure out how to fix it.

Tried one of my backup files and it's back to normal. That was weird.

When you get the game, try one of your own "clean" saves. See if that works, it should.

Wow...that's weird...you got it too. But, yep I agree, I'm getting the game from the US, so I'll try the editor on my save file once I receive it. Looking forward to it - alternative to madden nfl! BTW, I also tried the Backbreaker editor (from kingjavo) on a test roster file posted in the backbreaker forum...it worked fine with no errors.

Question: does APF2K8 have the player roster ratings like madden nfl and can they be edited (sliders)?

Anyway, thanks for your help and will get back to you once I get the game.

Re: Interest in adding PS3 to Editor?

Well that's good. All of his editors are similar, so if you got that one to work it's not your computer that's the problem. APF should work, just that weird error is something to look out for.

Player ratings? Yes, APF has them as well as player skills/badges. You can't edit them in-game, but you can in the editor.
