THERE ARE NO SPACES OR DASHES IN THE CODES

Why the game decided to stick in a dash when it displays the code is beyond me, but you don't need to type one. The space in the codes is inserted by the message board to prevent that long of a text string from screwing up the page formatting. You don't need to type that either.

Suggestion: Try entering the codes then changing the font to a fixed one, like so...
