Re: College Teams

I just created my "Longhorn Legends" team yesterday. The biggest problem was picking between the best of all time versus the best of my memory (I'm 25), and still putting together a well-rounded, competitive squad. I tried to base selections on NFL success, not success at the college level... so no Vince Young, Ricky Williams, etc. I really wanted to get Nathan Vasher or Quentin Jammer (my father-in-law was his HS coach), but Texas has only recently become DB-U.

Here's what I came up with:

[Gold] Earl Campbell
[Gold] Tommy Nobis (ILB, Leadership, Clutch, Wrap Up Tackler)

[Silver] Bobby Layne (QB, Leadership, Clutch)
[Silver] Jerry Gray (CB, Coverage Bonus, Footsteps)
[Silver] Bud McFadin (OG, Bulldozer, Leadership)

[Bronze] Casey Hampton (DT. Strength)
[Bronze] Shaun Rogers (DT, Pass Rush)
[Bronze] Derrick Johnson (OLB, Closing Speed)
[Bronze] Priest Holmes (RB, Finesse and Power)
[Bronze] Roy Williams (WR, Breakaway Burst)
[Bronze] Eric Metcalf (WR/KR, Speed Burner)

I used the "Skulls" logo and created our modern orange-white and all-white uniforms. I'll try to post my uniform code later if anyone's interested.

My play book consists of all pro-split back formations so I Earl and Priest line up together. Campbell is formation substituted to play the full back spot since he's bigger. In practice and a couple off-line games it's been very successful. Both backs are strong enough to bust up inside, but also shifty enough to break outside.

My 4-3 defense is equally stout. I totally shut down Marcus Allen offline by assigning Nobis to him on every play and effectively took away the pass by combining good QB pressure with appropriate coverage support.

Re: College Teams

Florida State Seminoles (Indians logo...the colors just needed slight adjustments as the Indians seem to resemble the Redskins, and the Redskins are not that different from FSU...the colors seem to be a shade off but I just can't seem to nail it)

Re: College Teams

I like my badgers uni's... Pics to come soon. Too bad they have to wear high socks since the badgers don't.

*edit*

Only thing I have changed is taking the "W" off the neckline.
