Re: The All-Underused Team

had 3 picks in one game with brookshire online earlier today. I also tried trippi for a few games today (without even reading this thread) and didn't like him too much, although i did run for over 100yrds. I really like using the unknowns... people don't know what to expect.

Re: The All-Underused Team

Well, I hope that Brookshire comes out for me soon, lol. He's really good at staying close to receivers and defensing passes, but he just hasn't come down with one yet.

Trippi always kills me when I play him in season mode, but I haven't tried him yet. I'll contain him for three quarters and then he'll break a fifty yard run on me. He really does have quick feet out there, and some burst when in the open field. Seem to remember him catching pretty well against me too.

Re: The All-Underused Team

is brookshire good in man, zone or both? i find lewis is great in man, mcdaniel great in zone, but neither is really good at both

PS- i have seen brookshire online, and i always go at him b/c I figure a CB of European descent that he cant cover any1, and he always picks me off (I'm a Mediterranean Man so I think I can make these seemeingly racist claims, lol)

Re: The All-Underused Team

OK, so I created my 8th team with Snell and an all legend d-line. Here it is.

Gold
Willie Brown (CB)
Night Train Lane (CB)

Silver
Jack Tatum (FS)
Matt Snell (RB)
Len Dawson (QB)

Bronze
Korey Stringer (T)
John Taylor (WR)
Ricky Sanders (WR)
Dan Saleamua (DT)
Harvey Martin (DE)
Clyde Simmons (DE)

I played one guy online so far and won 24-14.

Snell 14 carries, 115 yards, 2 TD, long of 69
Dawson 6-of-8, 109 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT
Martin 2 tackles, 2 sacks
Simmons 2 tackles, 1 sack
Brown 2 passes defensed, 1 INT
Lane 2 passes defensed, 1 INT

I need to get better at stiff arms and shoulder charge. On some plays, bronze linebackers bounced off him and Lem Barney was no challenge. Other plays Snell would get stopped by a generic with ease, but like I said I need to get better at stiff arms and shoulder charges.

I run a lot of zone, so brookshire excels for me there

Nice squad. If you can get Snell going, control the clock, and get a turnover from at least one of your CBs (and you will every game, at least one, with those guys), it's over. I still haven't seen guys do much with him against me, so if you don't mind divulging just a bit, what sort of back is he. Does he work well from the I? Single back? Other sets?

No obligation to divulge, of course, but I am curious. He seems like the type of back who needs a couple of yards to get going, and I've got a line that doesn't typically allow that, so he usually gets hit before he can get rolling. I love his attribute set, though.

I play lots of man with him and he's in position the great majority of the time. No picks for me, though. Maybe he does better with that while playing in zone.
