Maybe so, but last time I checked, trucking (which is done poorly) and gang tackling (which was done poorly) should already be in a FOOTBALL game. There should be nothing new to that.

As a whole Madden IMO is no where near where it should be IMO. However I'm no developer either.
I would bet my home that Madden would be better if 2K never left the picture.

You have no argument there. Imagine if we had to choose between Madden 10 and NFL 2K10?

Maybe when they introduced gang tackling it introduced 50 new bugs. You don't just add something in and try to get it to work good. You add something and test it over and over and over and you check for bugs it may have caused. You may think it is easy to add something, but just adding in Pro-Tak probably took so much time as they had to do animations for each angle a defender took and they had to do it for 2 people, 3 people, 4, 5, 6, 7, etc. Then they had to try and mix up the animations. That alone sounds like it would take a few months on that feature there.

2k failed in 2 areas that backbreaker is addressing. APF has no minigames, no franchise, nothing extra. 1 season just isnt enough.

The second mistake was they didn't make it customizable enough. I heard that was because they didn't want to upset the nfl, but whatever the reason it was like shooting themselves in the foot.

I would take that. I would take an NFL game with the gameplay of 2k8 over Madden 2010.
