    BB Off/Def Playbooks

I don't know if it's been addressed already, but I have a small inquiry about this game.

Are the playbooks gonna be diverse and cater to all different kinds of playing styles?

If not, then we need to make a serious push towards a Playbook Creation mode. he last thing I want is to play a football sim with an NFL Tour-style playbook.

So, I want everyone who reads this to post an offensive/defensive style and/or playbook, and any other schemes (blocking, route running, etc.). Then, once the list is big enough, I'll try to get into contact with Backbreaker's developers. I'll go first...

Off: West Coast (Pass Heavy, mainly short-intermediate routes, basic running plays)
    Def: 3-4
    Additional Schemes: Zone Blocking

NO one knows much of anything about this game. We just know it uses Natural Motion and it has good tackling animations. lol

No one really knows; they'll probably have the main formations/plays covered, but at this point, anything beyond that would just be icing on the cake.

              This.

We don't know much of anything about this game outside of the sweet hits we've seen on the E3 promotional video.

i am putting my money on "vanilla" O/D playbooks....Just for the shere lack of anything really informative about this "game" just makes ya wonder.

I am expecting 1 offensive and 1 defensive playbook for all teams.

I agree man. I'd be very very surprised if this game has any amount of depth that rivals M10. I hope I'm wronged... big time.

                    Re: BB Off/Def Playbooks

here are some old screen shots that show two plays...one on offense (which looks like a playaction)

and the other one on defense...looks like cover 2

now remember, these are some OLD screens.... I don't want the OP pessimist to overreact again....also this is not going to be the default camera angle, I presume this is that "see your play/ switching players to use view).... I believe it zooms in to 3rd person mode before the snap.

I've wanted that for at least 6 years. To at least be able to run 'upwards' and move left to make my defender move to his left. People have always argued "what about deep throws"? but you could do the same thing apf does on deep throws where the cam zooms out to keep ball and players in view...or do opposite of what madden does and just keep it on the players while you get an indication the ball is coming down.

to have the stick hammed up during a blitz and nailing someone will be so much more satisfying than the traditional method. I can't wait for that.

                            Re: BB Off/Def Playbooks

I think all they need to do is look at college football and the NFL to see what kind of playbooks to make.

Offenses should include playbooks that cater to players that utilize multiple tight ends, I-Formation and power I-Formation, Spread offense, west coast, run and gun, etc. But to make it better look to college as well and pull in some option run formations and add wildcats or even that offense that georgia tech runs all the time. All these and more (cause I don't know all the offensive types) should be in the game. One thing I think would be cool is if you could choose 2 playbook types like spread and option run or Power-I and West Coast to utilize with your team instead of just one offensive type.

For defense it is much more simple. 4-3, and 3-4 will be absolute musts. The 46 defense and just multiple defenses once again from college and the pros should be brought in. All defensive formations should obviously come with nickel and dime variations as well.

Most of all make a create a playbook feature. I love to run the Power-I formation but have not been able to use it for many years due to the create a playbook feature being taken off Madden years ago. Also make the created playbook usable online, the amount of different offenses and defenses could have you thinking more like a coach constantly making changes to your playbook to make it more effective.

I noticed that the first play of the new trailer looks like a pistol formation.
