For the first time in more than 15 years, I am not excited about a Madden release. I'm not falling for their gimmicky "...we've learned from all of our mistakes and this will be the mother of all football games..." trick. Since BB is coming out, I don't feel starved for football.

Finally....

I do realize that BB is not perfect. Know what, though; it will be a breath of fresh air. Since it comes out in May, I get to evaluate it for a while and not even bother with Madden unless it's really impressive.

I'm really excited.

In my case my MAL (Madden Anticipation Level) went from a 5 (out of 100) to a -10.

Well the last time I anticipated a Madden was for M09. I hadn't bought Madden since 06 and fell for the hype and blind bought it. I can't tell you how pissed off I was after I got some time with it and realized it was just the same ol Madden.

Madden football is a few years away from another purchase from me; maybe even longer. Let me know when they actually implement that Espn lockdown license.

BB is my new hope. They will get my money just because they are currently at the right place at the right time.

I have zero excitement right now for the next madden and it has nothing to do with Backbreaker. Been there, done that and haven't enjoyed it since I left ps2.

I'm definately more excited for BB than madden, but that's not saying much because I'm actually more interested in that secret the Watcher is keeping than I am madden right now, lol.

Since about 2004 my thoughts have been:

"Madden causes less anticipation for Madden"

That hasn't changed this year
