Just a slight variation and probably easier when it comes to full team editing. Especially since the user can create 32 custom teams.

I am not that big of an online player. So I will enjoy creating NFL, UFL, CFL, XFL and USFL leagues and playing two different franchise modes with them. In Backbreaker, You can create a full league of teams and use any one or all of them during multiple season mode or road to backbreaker.
Yes THIS is correct!

I myself am not an online gamer when it comes to sports games...in fact I probably won't go online at all with Backbreaker.

Good job pointing this out. I was aware of this, but I think some others were a little mixed up about it. The next step: figuring out filesharing so we can distribute the work .

Re: Backbreaker Info Thread

The thing I'm interested in this game also will be team management in franchise modes. Having played APF for the last 3 or so years I actually do miss managing teams, building rosters, drafting, developing players, negotiating contracts, etc and I only got a small taste of that again with my short time with Madden 10. I'm not expecting anything that'll knock me out of the park, but then again, the devs haven't really touched on this much so I'm not sure how in depth or lackluster it may turn out.

Is there a reason why you keep
bumping this thread kj?

I think enough people are keeping it going. Just an observation.

BUT I remember them saying that this is only for online play right? You can have whatever names you want for offline play its just when you take them online they must be changed.

Complex intellectual property and copyright laws thats why.

If a reasonable random person sees a player named Peyton Manning, #18, Blue jersey, from Tennessee, 6'6, that random person would assume that its representing Peyton Manning. And since the NFLPA has Peyton Manning's name and likeness, they can enforce the law.

The law is unfair that way. I bet nobody on the forum has read the law pertaining to this area.

We might be breaking laws we don't even know about, or can't possibly find out.
