Will Backbreaker be successful enough for a sequel

If it sells well enough, I could very well see a sequel made with injuries, fatigue, stadium creator, etc. The things that are missing from the original. Or will it just be outsold heavily by Madden/NCAA and be gone faster than college basketball players? I think it looks very promising for a first time effort, and a sequel looks quite likely.

Re: Will Backbreaker be successful enough for a sequel

I say we'll see a Backbreaker two. Why?

1. The project was made off their technology, so it was cheap to use.

2. The team was extremely small, so they didn't have to pay a lot of developers, so again, they saved money.

3. With them saving so much developing in house with a small team, then I'd say a few hundred thousand copies will be a good profit. I think it will get at least 500k personally.

4. The iPod app has sold over 1.5 million I think, so they made a ton of money off that.

Impossible question to answer. Seeing as BB1 hasn't even come out yet and we can't look at sales numbers or the public's reception of the game.
I really think the focus as of now needs to be on BB1 and stop all this nonsensical talk of a sequel, when we don't even have the first one yet.

LOL, I really don't. I'd lean 60/40 that they will have a sequel, but the AI has yet to be tested. The demo seems to be less and less unlikely to come out, and I'm getting worried about the release date.

They said they're going to release the demo very close to release.

we won't know until we play it. If its a solid game with the physics and A.I working well enough to give us a fun challenging game I think there will be a sequel bcuz of what cane said it was cheap to make. If enuff ppl the game they will make enuff profit to easy finance another game.
