This comparison doesn't quite match. Considering the appeal of arcade style games to a larger audience, combined with the fact that The Bigs is a licensed game, it should've done better. If anything, based on that comparison, Backbreaker would do even worse.

I still think 200k-250k is most realistic, especially now seeing how weak their promotion has been. First week sales really make a big difference, and most companies look at that and base their next course of action on it. That's why strong promotion is so important. NM/505 has not done a good job in this area and they will definitely be hurt by it.

If it exceeds that number it would be a shocker. If it hit a million, it would be a miracle. All I care about is that it makes enough money to warrant future games.

Well if forum activity is any indication I dont think this will do very well unless it gets great reviews.. The Madden forums are packed with both fan and critics yet the Backbreaker forums are relatively empty..

I hope it does well.. EA needs competition..

It's a first year game and this site is kindof EA and not something the average consumer goes to see. Most video game purchasers are not browsing forums about the game.

Small example, I have 5 close friends who all bought Modern Warfare 2, I'm the only one who has ever been to the IW forums.

I'm guessing it will sell 16 trillion copies.

EA needs to start making money again-one reason they cut corners on their football games.
