Re: New Backbreaker Gameplay Video

Think of the 4 ratings system as a way to describe athleticism which over rides everything that a player can do.

On top of that, there are descriptive position specific attributes.

And in regards to the JUKE. As a self-proclaimed BB fanboy, i wish the juke looked more fluid. That being said, the cool thing about BB is, you can make a guy miss WITHOUT the use of a juke.

If your RB is highly rated in Agility and Speed (2 of the 4 main stats), you can evade tacklers with just the left stick, and since there is 0 suction tackling/force field areas, if all they can get on you is an arm or hand, you a VERY likely to break the tackle.

Or think of a back with high Agility and Strength, the back will be very very difficult to take down, and if the runner is smart using blocks and attacking defenders where they are out of position, the juke isn't going to be a huge part of the game.

Is it true they didn't want this leaked because of it being an old build? Because when I watched this I saw a lot of the wierd stuff that I saw in the alpha gameplay videos that looked odd...as opposed to some of the newer vids and the running tutorial which looked way smoother.

Either way, I still think this game is going to be pretty cool and refreshing.

Yeah it does look like an older build, especially compared to the running tutorial video. I watched some of those alpha gameplay videos and this one has some similarities to those.
It still looks good to me either way, and this was gameplay I haven't seen before so it was good to see that.

Re: New Backbreaker Gameplay Video

I'm trying to stay neutral about this game until I can actually 1: play it or 2: See an uninterrupted gameplay clip.

But one thing was confirmed to me in this vid: No huddle is in a game without fatigue, and that means big, big trouble for online play vs. anyone but friends.

Re: New Backbreaker Gameplay Video

Even in the video, there is 2 very different looking games/builds to me. Go to about 2:50 in, and watch that for 15-20 seconds. Now 5:00 or so and look at that video.

To me the difference is like playing Grand Turismo, and watching their nice processed replays of you playing it. It looks like a lot more than 'oh well that game was at night'.
