Is there a way to download the demo without an internet connection to the xbox?

So there is no way to connect to the internet with my xbox360, is there a way to download the demo to my computer and put it on the xbox? Thanks.

Have a friend download it to a thumb drive (on his 360) now that they can be used for that kind of storage and bring it over. They may have to sign into live on your machine too (though, he can just move his profile from the HDD to the thumb drive too and easily accomplish that)

Thats a good idea, but I don't have any friends that have an xbox360. Would anyone be willing to download it and post it up?

Probably wont work, pretty sure when you download any content, free or otherwise, it's tied to gamertag and console ID

That's correct. They would have to bring their GT along with it. Or you can bring your's to their house and bring both the GT and demo back to your 360.

Okay, I figured out a way that might work to play demos on my xbox, so if anyone wants to upload the demo for me so I can at least try, they can do it at this site.

I would really really appreciate it.

How is putting up a free demo pirating?

                    I dunno, technically I guess it isn't.

How does someone have their computer on an internet connection that's fast enough that they're willing to download a 450mb file, yet be totally unable to hook up their xbox to that connection?

sounds crazy but I had to live like this until like last year actually, it was all about xbox placement for me until I got the wireless adapter

Then if he's willing to go through the trouble of hacks, then just get a trial Gold membership and move the system.

Technically, it is pirating because Gold is a paid service and this is part of that service. Otherwise, they'd let Silver members download it. But that's splitting hairs. Just an fyi.

OP, here's how you do it...

                            1) sign up for XBL gold trial (or one month membership for 7.95).

                            2) go to xbox.com and sign in with your windows live account.

                            3) from xbox.com, go to the XBL marketplace and find the backbreaker demo (here)

                            4. Add the demo to your download queue.

                            5. Take your xbox and move it near your router/modem/whatever and hook it up using an ethernet cable.

                            6. Your xbox live profile should automatically sign in and connect to xbox live, even without you being able to see it. The download will automatically start.

                            7. Go have lunch, the DL should take about 45 minutes to an hour.

                            8. Put your xbox back to where it was. The demo should be there ready to go.

                            9. Wonder why you wasted all this time and effort to play Gears of Football.

                            -Fin-

Okay, that's a good idea, I'll give that a try. Btw, I figured this was not piracy because it's free for crying out loud. Also, I have my xbox in our living room, where I do not have a modem or a router near it, the cable modem is in our computer room. I would have to run like a 50 foot ethernet cable through the house. Anyways, thanks for the suggestions.
