Re: Wild Overthrows

alt QB controls....both standard and lob pass is tied to the A button so you can't (unwillingly) overthrow it. As mentioned before the X and B buttons scan the field much faster than the stick. Stick = clunky IMO.

I know i might get labeled a homer for saying this...but I think by it being setup like that, it almost makes it realistic.. I mean you are so pressured in this game as a QB that sometimes you just want to hurry up and get rid of the ball when you see an open man....and you might hold the stick up longer than you need to..... almost like when a QB in real life overthrows receivers, be it in the flats, over the middle, or deep passes.... he is not focused (more realistically his mechanics are off)..

so in this game there is the extra focus that comes besides the LT/L2 button...that extra focus is yourself after you pass the ball....LET GO OF THE STICK!.....is it easier said than done? I'm about to find out...haha.

I agree, but I like the stick for everything else in the game, so I just pass with the stick now. The biggest flaw in the stick passing is shifting receivers - it just doesn't work very well. For me it would be best with a custom hybrid of QB button and rest stick.

First off, which I discovered in training mode if you're moving the QB in the pocket (not scrambling) you cannot change receivers AT ALL with the stick. With alt controls you can - and it's much more responsive/quicker.

one reason its a lil difficult for me and maybe for others is cuz my 360 controller's analogs are a pretty worn out. it seems a lil easier tho while focusing. but thats why im buying it on ps3 most likely tho...i got a fresh controller and sure itll be way more precise for me
