Those games DID NOT have over almost 14 interceptions a game combined from the User and CPU. That's where the INT problems come in.

And i'm talking about Madden/NCAA from the PS2 era, since you used 2K5

Re: Game Informer Review

I do think he was being a bit of hypocrite like I said, he basically called out people who had too high of expectations for the game and you could argue he does the same in his review by hammering the game for every issue.

The symptoms were the same though, even if the numbers weren't quite as high - poor QB AI routinely making throws into double and triple coverage. If there weren't 4 or 5 picks from the CPU QB, it was usually because defenders were dropping interceptions, not because the QB was making smart decisions.

Re: Game Informer Review

Honest review. You don't give a game "a break" because it's the first attempt by a studio. We have had next-gen football games for a long time now so we as gamers expect a certain degree of polish.

The reviewer did a good job of mentioning the positives, but unfortunately, there really aren't that many.

Very, very good point.

Imo all of the the reviews from Gamespot, IGN etc are gonna be bad. I think you have to put a couple days in with the game before you can begin to know how to make it work for you. The cpu AI can definitely use some work but this isnt the kind of game you can just play for a couple hours and think you know what your doing. The points he made about the running game lacking agility and the passing game lacking finesse are proof of this.

Agree with honest review, I think all his points were valid.

Also true, I guess the point i'm trying to make is the only reason those games didn't get a 5/10 review was because they did a lot of other things MUCH better than BB. I don't want to turn this thread into a comparison discussion so I will end it with that.

Re: Game Informer Review

This is pretty much how I thought this game would turn out. I would like to pick up a copy when it hits the discount bin but i'm going to pass on it being full price.
