Is there even Pass interference in this game?

First off I love this game and almost everything about it so don't you dare call me a troll. However, there is a big problem with pass interference or lack of it. I've seen so many times when the defender has straight up NAILED the wide receiver right before he was gonna catch it. It's ridiculous how often it happens and even worse isn't called.

I haven't seen defensive PI called yet, despite throwing to a WR who is on his back by the time the ball is to him on a number of occasions.

I've seen offensive PI called on the CPU twice though.

This is a major problem in the game and it is most irritating that offensive PI is called A LOT!

It was probably dialed back, kinda how facemasking isnt in the game, something that wasn't easy to fix so they minimized/removed it.

Well, when your receiver gets tackled before anyone touches it, the other team intercepts it, scores, and wins the game because of it, it makes me wish they hadn't "dialed it back".

defensive PI is in the game. Had it happen to me earlier. Lucky for me, considering my QB overthrew the ball 15 yards anyway.

kinda ironic that my first game that i played when i got the game i threw the ball WAY OVER my receivers head and the safety demolished him before the ball touched the ground and the D PASS INTERFERENCE was called

Yea, defensive PI is really hit or miss, but mostly miss. On the one had, you have the case where the DB jacks up the WR while the ball is in the air in a blatant case of PI, but nothing is called. On the other hand, you have the case where a defender in a zone barely grazes a WR as he runs through the zone, not impeding his progress at all, but PI is called.

Can someone try playing Arcade mode and see if they get more PI penalties called? I certainly do, but maybe it was dumb luck.

It seems like I get one called on me at least once a game. It usually happens on crossing routes when my defender impedes the parh of the receiver. It's almost never called in the most obvious situations tho. Hopefully a patch can dial this in.

I've seen both offensive and defensive PI, and they all have been legit PI from what I have seen.

On-topic, I have seen a number of defensive PI calls. They have all been legitimate. However, like everyone else, I have witnessed some very bad no-calls.

I kind of like the no-call's because many of them both players are going for the ball. When playing defence you can interfere with the receiver a bit as long as you don't press the right trigger or right stick, - you will be flagged immediately for that.

That's what's kind of cool about it, is they seem to only call 'deliberate' interference.

The most common calls I see are roughing the passer and intentional grounding. I do see holding every 2 or 3 games, and PI and encroachment/offsides -

maybe even a bit less than that, but I don't really want a lot of penalties. I'm glad they're in the game, but I actually don't want NFL frequency of penalties, it just slows the game down too much.
The games are actually quite long for 5min quarters already, so I'm fine with penalties the way they are.
