    Re: WRs dropping passes

I'm glad some people don't have the same problems, but it doesn't mean it's not there. I've played a total of about 30 games with varying teams on Medium and Hard. If you play on hard, even the Spartans and Militia receivers will drop a lot unless you set form to Very Good and/or play a defense lower than 65. Using the focus trigger before the snap or using the aggressive trigger and down (to cover the ball) does help, but it's not fool-proof.

Form average or below against even a decent defense becomes difficult, but if you're playing a 65+ defense (especially with smart secondary), you've got a recipe for disaster. Especially considering your receivers probably won't be good enough to get separation.

Has nobody tried holding down the aggressive button and down on the right stick as you catch the ball? this works for me.

It's the same technique to hold on to the ball as a running back.

Even on medium, I was like 9-19 and the CPU was 10-22, maybe 200 yards of total offense combined. It was like watching the 2000 Ravens play against themselves or something.

        So... yeah.
Yea, I play with the lowest rated team for pretty much every football title. I had the Cleveland Kings vs Buffalo beasts (both low rated) yesterday in my season and that **** was BORING as hell, lol.

I had it on 10 minute quarters too. I managed to rack up some rush yards eventually, but the CPU was pathetic to say the least. I'm dropping minutes down to 5 for the rest of these games.

No. I didn't try that. I just said that I did to piss you off.

              Sarcasm?
Also, drops do not bother me at all. I'm not seeing a ton of them and the ones that do happen are either from big hits or a receiver with low focus just dropping one every blue moon.

strange.. the first game i played after the patch.. i had no trouble passing or any drops.

now playing the same matchup, and skill level, i cant pass the ball at all, have a lot of drops, and getting sacked left and right..

i dunno what is going on

Protect ball immediately after making a catch does wonders. Just went 16/21 for 300+ yards 2 TDs. Not a single drop. Even took a few tough shots to the chest and held on.

edit: Pro-Medium. Going to test it on hard after the Silva/Sonnen fight.

Yes it does work and i mean it does make sense so that's a good thing.

P.S Pro medium is the way to go.

Played a half on pro-hard, throwing into/near coverage. Works just as well. Only drops I've seen are from hard contact, nothing minimal

USE THE SECURE THE BALL BUTTON!!!! during the catch.

This. When the ball is in the air after you pass it, hold right trigger and the right stick down and this will greatly reduce the amount of dropped passes.

Are you guys also using LT (L2) Focus as the ball is approaching the receiver to make a catch? that is crucial (added with patch) and THEN hit RT (R2) and down on rt stick to clutch.
