Backbreaker "Project Able" Abilities Project

What up yall? I've been playing with Finz roster editor for the last week and testing ratings to see how players react and interact at what ranges.

The observation that stands out the most for me is that players consistently separate themselves from other player in the same position when there is a +15 boost in ratings

This lead me to think about APF, and how players got a boost in performance based on the abilities and rank awarded to them.

So far I'm getting realistic games.

Here are some of my separations.

Stats are in the order of Focus, Agility, Speed, and Strength.

Yeah. Pre-Patch.

I'm basing the ratings on the overall from madden 11... 90's is Gold, 80's Silver, 70,s is bronze.

Elites are obviously gold players with +15 boost to any of the 4 ratings that apply.

Pretty nice little write up. I always wished we APF fans could have found out what metrics the development team was working with when they created the Ability system - which I thought was truly innovative.

Yeah... APF football was awesome with the abilities. It honestly made me cringe when I had a team with generic or bronze LB going up against O.J, Emmit, Barry and so on. I would be like... "It's going to be a long game" and surely it was.

Nothing worse then putting a weak bronze corner with :65,65,65,40 stats against a Gold: Elite Like Brandon Marshal who has 110,110,110,55stats. Better have safety help.
