okay i'm thinking about getting backbreaker and downloading the NFL teams from ratesports but can you use all 32 in road to backbreaker

No, that mode is where you take one team and you go into the leagues that are already in the game.
For what you want to do, the regular season mode is where it's at.

Just make sure the season mode lacking what you'd normally expect from something called that is OK though before you make a purchase (no progress, age, retirements, free agency, fatigue, injuries, only way to get new players is draft).

RtBB is the mode where you start with any team you want, it reduces all of the players stats to inferior levels and then the only way to improve your team is to replace players 1 by 1 with currency you earn (one 'gold' player every season or so to start).

so RtBB is like Blitz the League, and Season is just the basics like Madden NFL 97 but with a draft

Yeah, if you had to compare it something, that's about it. The season mode really lacks depth, as mestevo pointed out, so it's hard to get into because there's little to do except play games. BB is fun in short bursts, but the novelty tends to wear off after an hour or two.

I disagree with this part....I think the fun part about this game is that something different will happen on every play. As far as Season Mode, it is no franchise mode...but hey you get to create your own league, name the division and conference, and play the weekly games as if its a NFL season.

give the game a rent if you are curious about trying a different type of football game. Don't rely on the demo to give you a good indication, it was horribly implemented imo...it should've been a 5min per qtr demo.

It should be a pretty cheap pickup off the shelves. This game, for me, was entirely worth it. Backbreaker 2 needs to be the game that's worth it for everyone (sans the camera angle choice and no NFL players), but I am satisfied enough with the first go-around.
