No more patches?

Is there anymore patches coming out because the game needs several more things fixed. Collision's need to be redone, catching with contact needs to be redone. Penalties need to be looked at especially pass interference. I've been called several times when my CPU players hit a receiver on the other end of the field and will get laid with the penalty. Or if the ball was clearly uncatchable. Intentional grounding is only called when the ball is thrown inbounds [throwing the ball way out of bounds results in no penalty regardless if your quarterback is between the tackles or not]. Not being able to scramble than pass makes speed quarterbacks virtually useless.

The game had potential but even if 2 comes out I would have to see a demo before I could commit money. Says a lot when I feel cheated out of money when I pay $20 for a game.

That's too bad that you feel cheated out for $20, but they stated right after Greathouse came out that there would be no other patches.

I don't own Backbreaker, but in general Microsoft only allows developers two free title updates; further updates require some sort of fee. The intention behind this policy is to discourage developers from releasing unfinished games and then continuously patching them after release. I'm unaware if Sony has a similar policy, as I don't own a PS3 either.

Basically, if Backbreaker has already been patched twice, it will cost NaturalMotion money to release a third patch, which makes the likelihood of such a third patch doubtful.

All about ROI. If it sold better it would have paid for more work on the title. The development and distribution costs (some general feasibility issues too... changing too much in the core game could make the patch too large and it would become DLC and not a patch) are why there won't be any more patches.
